Centennial Exhibitions

As part of the Kentucky Governor’s Mansion Centennial Celebration, several art and historical exhibits were on display at the Mansion throughout the year.

2014 Exhibition Schedule


January – April

John James Audubon Exhibit
More than $2 million of John James Audubon originals will be featured, including copper plate engravings from Birds of America, oil paintings, taxidermy and artifacts. The exhibit features nearly 50 pieces that highlight Audubon’s dedication and admiration for ornithology and conservation.

Early 1900 costume and decorative art pieces
Costume and decorative arts from the period of the mansion’s construction will be featured.
